If you were fortunate enough to be here at the PRSA Midwest District Conference today, you know what a packed day we had.
PRSA Chairman & CEO Mickey Nall, APR, Fellow PRSA got the day underway with an entertaining look at storytelling (or truth-telling, as he prefers it), media relations and reputation. His insights and commentary gave the 180-plus PRSA members in attendance something to think about.
There followed four morning breakout sessions, a case study presentation over lunch, eight afternoon breakout sessions, a rousing end-of-day session on Crisis Communication with Dr. Joe Trahan, APR, Fellow PRSA, and a short mix-and-mingle social before small groups headed off to dinner at a number of nearby restaurants.
An excellent start to the 2013 MDC. And just think…we get to do it again tomorrow!
Thanks, PRSA Nebraska, for a powerful program and your gracious hosipitality.

Our half-day Leadership QuickStart session is tomorrow (Wednesday). While it does not have the same general appeal that the conference has, new and emerging leaders will find it a great opportunity to connect with like-minded peers and to learn from some “old pros.” It should be a fun time, too, not all work.
The full conference kicks off Thursday morning. Follow the conversatoin on Twitter at #prsamdc or follow us @PRSAMidwest.
